Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Great Light Worlds (the “Service”) is operated by Majestic Light Group (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Service lets you describe a place and produces an AI-generated 360° panorama and an optional 3D Gaussian-splat fly-through of that scene.

For privacy questions, contact us at hello@greatlightworlds.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account information. Email address, display name, and authentication data — provided to us by Clerk when you sign in or sign up.
  • Content. The text prompts you submit and the panoramas, depth maps, and 3D Gaussian splats produced from them. We store these so you can view your worlds.
  • Billing data. If you upgrade to Architect, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see your card details; we receive only a customer ID, subscription status, and last-4 digits.
  • Operational logs. Server logs (IP address, user agent, route, status code, timing) are retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and debugging.

3. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your prompts, panoramas, or 3D worlds to train AI models. (Note: OpenAI does not train on API content sent to gpt-image-2 either, per their data-use policy for API customers.)
  • We do not run advertising trackers or third-party fingerprinting scripts.

4. Subprocessors

We use the following third-party services to deliver the Service. Each one processes only the data required for its function.

  • Clerk — authentication and user management.
  • Supabase — Postgres database and object storage for your worlds.
  • OpenAI — generates the 360° panorama from your prompt.
  • Modal Labs — runs the GPU pipeline that turns a panorama into a 3D Gaussian splat.
  • Stripe — payment processing (Architect subscribers only).
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.

5. Cookies

We use only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and CSRF protection (Clerk session cookies). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies that require consent under the GDPR or CCPA.

6. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and all associated data — from your Account page, click “Delete account”. This action is irreversible and erases your worlds, panoramas, splats, billing history, and authentication record within 30 days.
  • Export your worlds and personal data — email hello@greatlightworlds.com.

7. Public worlds

By default, every world you create is private and visible only to you. You can mark a world as public from its viewer page; once public, anyone with the link can view it (including search engines, if indexed). You can revert to private at any time.

8. Data retention

We retain your account, worlds, and billing records for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we erase everything within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records (e.g. tax invoices for 7 years).

9. Children

Great Light Worlds is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers and via an on-site notice for at least 14 days before taking effect.
