Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Great Light Worlds (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service, and you represent that you have the authority to enter into this agreement.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. Authentication is provided by Clerk. Notify us immediately at hello@greatlightworlds.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to generate, store, or share content that:
- Depicts minors in a sexualized way (CSAM).
- Promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
- Infringes another person’s intellectual property or right of publicity.
- Impersonates a real person without their consent.
- Includes deceptive or non-consensual deepfakes of identifiable people.
- Violates any applicable law.
We may remove violating content and suspend or terminate accounts without notice. Severe violations are reported to the appropriate authorities.
5. Content ownership and license
You own your prompts. Subject to OpenAI’s terms, you also own the panoramas and 3D splats generated from them.
You grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not train AI models on your content.
Architect subscribers receive a worldwide, royalty-free, commercial license to use their generated panoramas and 3D splats in personal and commercial projects. Seeker (free) tier is for personal use only; you may download your panorama (.png) from the world page. Architect adds download of the 3D Gaussian splat (.ply).
6. Subscriptions and payment
Architect subscriptions are billed monthly ($20) or annually ($192) by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Cancel anytime from the Account page. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period; we do not refund partial periods unless required by law.
We may change prices with 30 days’ notice to active subscribers. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
7. Quotas and fair use
Each plan includes a monthly cap on world creations. The Architect plan includes up to 20 new worlds per billing period; after that we may block further creations until the period resets to protect Service availability.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party providers (OpenAI, Modal Labs, Stripe, Supabase, Clerk, Vercel) whose outages are outside our control.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts of New Castle County, Delaware.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers and via an on-site notice for at least 14 days before taking effect.
